Adopt-A-Family Donors Needed

You can make a difference in the lives of a local family this holiday season by supporting ATCAA’s Adopt-A-Family Program. The staff and volunteers at Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency will help match you to a family that fits your giving level and provide you with ages and other details to help you shop. Monetary donations are also needed to help fill the gaps.

The program was born over a decade ago by ATCAA Housing staff members who saw the needs of the clients they serve. Through their own volunteer efforts and the support of the community, the program continues to grow each year helping hundreds of families who struggle during the holiday season.

“We couldn’t do it without the continued support of the community and the many local businesses and organizations who have never paused to support the families in need. The community’s generosity has been amazing every year and we can’t thank them enough on behalf of the families we serve,” says Kristy Moore, Communications Director.

Local organizations who have continuously supported the program include the employees of Black Oak Casino and Sierra Conservation Center, the Vietnam Veteran’s Local Chapter, families of Sonora High Students, The Backcountry Horsemen and of course, Cal Fire, who provides ATCAA with bicycles and toys through their annual toy drive held at the Crossroads Shopping Center.

For over 45 years, ATCAA has been providing and advocating for basic human needs through direct assistance and community collaborations with the belief that all people deserve the opportunity to thrive.
