Our Home Energy Program provides low-income residents of Amador, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties with utility bill pay assistance, energy saving home improvements such as weather stripping, insulation and appliances, as well as education on reducing energy costs and budget counseling. Our Department also runs a Water Conservation Program

Energy Bill Assistance (LIHEAP) and Water Conservation

 

MONTHLY INCOME:

  • One client household up to $2,097.98

  • Two client household up to $2,743.52

  • Three client household  up to $3,389.05

  • Four client household up to $4,034.58

  • Five client household up to $4,680.12

  • Six client household up to $5,325.65

  • Seven client household up to $5,446.69

  • Eight or more? Call.

Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)

 

MONTHLY Income; Annualized and Equivalent to the Following:

  • One client household up to $2,023.33

  • Two client household up to $2,743..33

  • Three client household  up to $3,463.33

  • Four client household up to $4,183.33

  • Five client household up to $4,903.33

  • Six client household up to $5,623.33

  • Seven client household up to $6,343.33

  • Eight client household up to $7,063.33

Eligibility Requirements for all Energy Programs

Clients must submit a completed application and other documentation to apply for benefits. Note that:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of the United States

  • Applicant must be a resident of the County in which they are applying for service.

 

To apply for assistance for any of our programs, you must call first so that we can determine your eligibility and set an appointment for you or make arrangements by mail, fax or drop off. Appointments are available 9:00am - Noon, Monday-Thursday.  To expedite service, please have all requested items with you and your application completed.
