California's NEW and expanded tax credit. NEW THIS YEAR: If you have a child under six, you could also be eligible for the Young Child Tax Credit.
Didn't make enough to be required to file? Even if you earned just $1, you may WANT to file and get that cash-back credit! You can file ANY TIME OF YEAR to claim your refund.
What is it? The cash-back California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC) is designed to put money in the pockets of low-income working people. You can use the money for anything…clothing, food, school supplies, electric bills, etc.
How do I claim the credit? Just file your California tax return. You can file free yourself online or we can help if it is during tax season. YOU CAN FILE AND CLAIM YOUR CREDIT ANY TIME OF YEAR!
I didn't know about the credit and didn't file last year. Can I still get last year's credit? If you already filed this year or think you may qualify for CalEITC in previous years, you can file an amended return up to three years back.
During COVID, you can still FILE FREE TODAY

ATCAA is proud to be a partner of the CalEITC outreach team. Every year, millions of dollars are left on the table because residents didn't know about the credit, or didn't know how to access the credit. Last year, over $750,000 CalEITC dollars came back into our communities to those who need it most. This credit is proven to lift Californians out of poverty and strengthen our local economy.
